Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said it lowered its long-term rating on Hancock County Community Unit School District No. 316 (Warsaw), Ill.'s existing general obligation (GO) debt to A from A-plus.
The outlook is negative based on the district's continued trend of structural imbalance.
"The lower rating reflects the district's reduced reserves," said Standard & Poor's credit analyst David Smith.
