The expectations index was 79.9, compared to the preliminary November 80.6, and the final October 79.6.
The current conditions index was 102.7, compared to the preliminary November 103.0, and the final October 98.3.
Economists polled by Thomson Reuters had predicted a 90.0 reading for the main index, 103.0 for current conditions, and 80.8 for expectations.
The five-year inflation expectation index was 2.6%, compared to 2.8% in October, while the one-year inflation expectation index was 2.8%, compared to 2.9% in October.
