Existing home sales fell 3.3% to a seasonally adjusted 5.40 million-unit rate in April from an upwardly revised 5.21 million pace the previous month, the National Association of Realtors announced Thursday.
The March rate was originally reported as a 5.19 million pace.
The April rate represents a 6.1% increase from the same month a year ago, and was above the median 5.24 million unit pace predicted by economists polled by Thomson Reuters.
