Outflows Slow Among Muni Money Funds

Tax-exempt money market funds reported outflows of $696.9 million as total net assets settled at $255.5 billion in the week ended June 23, according to The Money Fund Report, a service of iMoneyNet.com.

The outflows slowed after the loss of $1.2 billion the week before.

The average seven-day yield for the 419 weekly reporting tax-exempt money funds remained unchanged at 0.01%, while the average maturity increased by one day to 32 days.

Taxable money market funds reported inflows of $2.56 billion in the week ended June 24, which boosted total net assets to $2.332 trillion, up from $2.329 trillion in the previous week.

The average seven-day yield for the 1,013 weekly reporting taxable funds declined one day to 43 days.

The combined assets of the 1,432 weekly reporting money market funds rose by $1.87 billion to $2.587 trillion.
