Muni Mutual Funds Report $634.5 Million in Inflows

Municipal mutual funds reported inflows declined to $634.5 million in the week ended May 28 from $663.6 million of inflows the week before.

Assets of all weekly reporting municipal funds increased to $292.5 billion from $291.2 billion the week before, Lipper FMI reported.

The four-week moving average inflow advanced to $714.4 million from $549.2 million.

Long-term municipal mutual funds that report their flows weekly had an inflow of $225.1 million following an inflow of $484.6 million the previous week.

Those assets inched up to $158.5 billion after ending at $157.9 billion the week before. The four-week moving average of the long-term fund was increased to an inflow of $447.2 million from $405 million the week before.

Inflows to high-yield mutual funds fell to $227.3 million from the previous week's $408.1 million. Assets increased to $437.4 billion, up from $433.8 billion. The four-week moving average inflow slipped to $365.1 million from $369.3 million.
