Retail sales grew 2.4% in the week ended May 18, according to the weekly retail sales report released by Johnson Redbook Tuesday.
The Johnson Redbook Retail Sales Index was up 2.4% in the second week of May following a 2.8% gain the prior week. Month-to-date, May was up 2.6%, compared to May of last year (relative to a target of a 2.7% gain).
Month-over-month showed a 0.5% gain (relative to a target of a 0.6% gain).
