Dallas Fed: Texas Service Sector Growth Slows Again

Texas service sector activity slowed again in October, according to business executives responding to the Texas Service Sector Outlook Survey, as the revenue index slid to 5.3 from 8.9.

The employment index gained to 5.5 from 3.7, the part-time employment index slipped to zero from 2.4, the hours worked index reversed to negative 2.3 from positive 2.2, the wages and benefits index slid to 8.7 from 14.1, the input prices index rose to 28.6 from 27.4, the selling prices index increased to 7.4 from 5.0, the capital expenditures index dropped to 8.2 from 9.8, the general business activity index slipped to 6.4 from 14.0.

The future revenue index slipped to 39.5 from 41.8, the employment index rose to 25.1 from 21.2, the part-time employment index decreased to 9.2 from 12.5, the hours worked index fell to negative 2.5 from positive 2.7, the wages and benefits index dipped to 34.4 from 34.6, the input prices index slid to 46.2 from 47.5, the selling prices index fell to 25.7 from 27.1, the capital expenditures index grew to 24.6 from 24.2, the general business activity index declined to 14.5 from 23.5.
