Final October U. of Mich. Index at 73.2 vs. 77.5 in September

The University of Michigan's final October consumer sentiment index reading was 73.2, compared to the preliminary October 75.2 reading, and the final September 77.5, according to market sources.

The expectations index was 62.5, compared to the preliminary October 63.9 and the final September 67.8.

The current conditions index was 89.9, compared to the preliminary October 92.8, and the final September 92.6.

The five-year inflation expectation index was 2.8%, compared to 3.0% in September, while the one-year inflation expectation index was 3.0%, compared to 3.3% in September.
