Pa. Governor Names Pagni Press Secretary

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett appointed Jay Pagni as press secretary. Pagni most recently was director of communications for state budget secretary Charles Zogby.

While working under Zogby, he led the administration's communications efforts on pension overhaul, redevelopment assistance, and Corbett's proposed and enacted budget.

In his new role, Pagni will be responsible for the management of press relations with state and national media.

Pagni, an Erie County native who lives in Mechanicsburg, has more than 16 years of combined experience in state government, with media relations posts at the state public welfare and health departments.

In addition, he has held management positions at the Department of General Services and with the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency.
