Groves Joins Colorado Bond Advisory Board

DALLAS – Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper named Peck, Shaffer & Williams attorney Mary L. Groves to the Colorado Municipal Bond Supervision Advisory Board.

Groves, managing partner of the firm’s Denver office, will serve as a representative of special district property owners in the state, according Hickenlooper’s office.

 The board works with the State Securities Commissioner to develop policies and guidelines for registration and exemption of securities offered by Colorado special districts. Groves’ four-year term begins Monday.

Also named were Denver attorney Leigh M. Lutz as a representative of indenture-trustee banks, Jason Bryan Carroll of Thornton as a representative of special-district property owners, and Denver financial advisor Samuel Rowars Sharp to represent municipal securities brokers.

Stephanie Ruth Stanley of Highlands Ranch, Colo., will serve as a representative of special districts.  Former Colorado Deputy Treasurer Gregory Michael Diamond of Denver will serve as a member of the public, and attorney Kimberly Ann Casey of Highlands Ranch, Colo., will serve as a representative of the bond counsel.

Megan Margarethe Becher of Highlands Ranch will represent real estate developers, while Jefferson County treasurer Tim A. Kauffman of Westminster will represent counties.
