Cantor Fitzgerald Expands Muni Bond Team

Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. has expanded its municipal bond division with the addition of three industry veterans.

Frank Hammond, Kevin Conrad, and John Dwyer have been hired to the debt capital markets municipal bond division and will focus on the firm's municipal sales and trading business.

Conrad and Dwyer started work on Jan. 1. Hammond began in December. They report to Jim Dolan, managing director and head of the municipal division.

Hammond joins the firm from JPMorgan where he was responsible for institutional sales. He has also held tax auditing positions at Arthur Andersen. Hammond received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Florida and is a certified public accountant.

At Cantor Fitzgerald, Hammond will focus on institutional sales and structured products as a managing director in New York City.

Conrad joins the firm's Chicago office as director, focused on municipal bond sales. He was previously at Vining Sparks where he managed sales for the municipal bond department. He has also held senior sales roles at Griffin, Kubik, Stephens & Thompson Inc., now known as BMO Capital Markets. Conrad received a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from the University of Dayton.

Dwyer comes to Cantor Fitzgerald from Stifel Nicolaus, where he managed institutional and investor relationships as a director. Prior to that, he worked at Northeast Securities and Asch Dwyer Municipal Securities, where he was a founding partner.

Dwyer will focus on maintaining client and investor relationships for the municipal bond group as vice president and will be based in the New York office. He holds a bachelor's degree from St. Francis College.
