Port Authority Fires Three Senior Professionals

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has recently dismissed three senior members of its treasury staff.

"After learning the findings of a Port Authority Inspector General investigation, the Port Authority immediately moved to terminate its top three Treasury employees," said Lisa MacSpadden, Port Authority spokesperson. "The agency's swift action demonstrates its commitment to ensuring its personnel adhere to the highest standards of performance, integrity and stewardship of the public's trust."

The Port Authority let go treasurer Anne Marie Mulligan, vice treasurer Veronica Biddle and risk manager Jon Huxel.

The Port Authority Inspector General believes the three accepted meals and gifts from contacts in the insurance industry, according to the New York Post.

The three former Port Authority professionals could not be reached for comment.
