WASHINGTON — The consumer price index was unchanged on a seasonally adjusted basis in April, after climbing 0.3% in the previous report, the Labor Department said Tuesday.
Core CPI, which excludes food and energy, were up 0.2% for the month, after rising 0.2% in March.
Economists polled by Thomson Reuters had predicted the consumer price index would edge up 0.1%, and core prices would advance 0.2%.
