DALLAS — Fulbright & Jaworski public finance attorney Adrian Patrick Patterson has moved to Andrews Kurth as partner in the Houston office, the law firm said.
As former senior associate at Fulbright, Patterson has worked as worked as bond, underwriter and disclosure counsel on deals at various levels of government.
Patterson earned his law degree from Tulane University, his undergraduate degree at the University of Houston, and he serves on the Greater Houston Partnership’s Government Relations Advisory Committee and the Houston Business-Education Coalition Political Action Committee.
He co-chaired Mayor Annise Parker’s Public Works Transition Team, and was recognized earlier this year on the Texas Rising Stars listing of the state’s top young lawyers.
“His knowledge and experience will certainly strengthen our formidable public law group,” said Bob Jewell, managing partner at Andrews Kurth.
The firm’s legal team served as underwriters counsel in 156 transactions, earning them third place on the American Lawyer 2012 Corporate Scorecard’s municipal bond ranking.
Kurth ranked fourth among bond counsel in Texas for 2012, according to The Bond Buyer rankings. Vinson & Elkins, the state’s third-ranking bond counsel, has ended its public finance business, with the team going to the Houston office of Bracewell & Giuliani.McCall Parkhurst & Horton, which ranked first in 2012, followed by Fulbright & Jaworski.
