L.A. Mayor Race a Toss-Up

The Los Angeles mayor's race slated for 2013 is still anybody's game as two-thirds of Angelenos do not have a preference, according to a poll released by the Center for the Study of Los Angeles at Loyola Marymount University.

Among the 455 Angelenos polled who have made a selection, Controller Wendy Greuel, county Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky and Councilman Eric Garcetti are in the lead at 24%, 23% and 21%, respectively.

Overall, 66% of the 1,605 people polled do not have a preference. Of the 1,148 registered voters who were polled, 58% did not have a preference in the race.

Other candidates include former Deputy Mayor Austin Beutner, attorney Kevin James and Councilwoman Jan Perry. Yaroslavsky is not a declared candidate for mayor.

The poll was done via a phone survey. It has a margin of error of 2.45%.
