DALLAS — Chicago-based Mesirow Financial is opening a Houston public finance office that will be headed by former Citigroup Global Markets executive Anderson Bynam, according to the company.
Bynam, 47, will carry the title of managing director and will report to Steve Hoopes, senior managing director for public finance.
With 22 years in finance, Bynam has worked in Houston as director of the public finance department for Citi.
Bynam established Citi’s Houston regional office and served as lead or co-lead banker on over $12 billion in par amount of senior managed transactions for Texas issuers.
He was also responsible for new business development and execution of senior-managed and co-managed transactions for clients in Texas and other states.
Before starting Citi’s Houston office, Bynam was first vice president at Siebert Brandford Shank & Co.
“Anderson’s level of experience in the field is exceptional,” Hoopes said. “He will be instrumental to the team as we continue to expand our strength and capabilities nationally.”
