Moody’s Investors Service affirmed the A1 rating on the township of Little Egg Harbor’s general obligation bonds, affecting $13.4 million of outstanding parity debt obligations.
Moody’s said the rating reflects the New Jersey township’s sizable tax base, low debt burden, and adequate liquidity and reserve levels.
A weakening of the township’s current fund balance and a significant deterioration of tax base could make the rating go down, Moody’s said.
Little Egg Harbor, part of Ocean County, is about 30 miles northeast of Atlantic City.
