Clean Energy Debt OK’d

A measure that would ask residents of Ohio to authorize $1.3 billion of bonds to finance clean energy efforts advanced in late February when the state attorney general approved the measure.

The group advocating the measure now will start gathering the 385,253 signatures that are needed to get it on the November ballot.

Called “Yes for Ohio’s Energy Future,” the amendment would allow the state to issue $1.3 billion of bonds to finance clean-energy projects, such as solar, wind and biomass.
