Virginia Waste Bond Bill is Killed

A bill that would have authorized the Virginia Public Building Authority to issue an additional $300 million in bonds for wastewater treatment facilities died in committee.

Both the House of Delegates and Senate versions of the bill were introduced in the early months of this year. The Senate passed the bill but the House continued the measure to the 2013 session.

However, the bill failed to emerge from the House Appropriations Committee in late November.
