Franciscan Christian Ministries Down to Stable

Standard & Poor's revised its outlook to stable from positive on Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity Ministries Inc.'s BBB-plus rating.

The organization's debt was sold in 2003 and 2007 through the Wisconsin Health and Education Facilities Authority.

"The outlook revision reflects our view of Franciscan Sisters' softer operations, continued decline in inpatient volumes, and flattening net patient revenue for a third straight year," analyst Suzie Desai said.

The rating reflects a strong balance sheet, good operations, and the Franciscan's leading business position in the communities that its health care organizations serve.
