MSRB To Launch MyEMMA

WASHINGTON — Early next week the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board will launch MyEMMA, a free online service that will allow users of the MSRB’s EMMA system to customize municipal securities searches and email alerts.

The new service will let users access an “Alerts Dashboard,” where they can view recent email alerts and manage email alert settings, the board said in a media release. The MSRB’s alert service will send users emails when information about a securities or group of securities becomes available on EMMA.

MyEMMA also will let users save and modify the searches they perform on the system. EMMA lets users tailor searches to a number of criteria, including trade date, trade price, closing date, interest rate, purpose of the bond, rating and state of issuance. Users can also search for disclosures.

Once MyEMMA goes live, those interested in the service can sign up by clicking the MyEMMA link on the upper right corner of any EMMA webpage, the MSRB said.

The launch of MyEMMA follows improvements the MSRB made to EMMA’s search capabilities. The board integrated the search criteria, allowing users to search for securities that meet multiple criteria at once. For instance, with a single search a user can now view securities that have a specified rating, interest rate and maturity date.

The MSRB also boosted the speed of the search function.
