Louisiana Tax Collections Hit $722M

Louisiana collected $721.9 million in state taxes in June, up from $695 million in May, according to the latest monthly report from the Department of Revenue.

Net revenue during the month included $223.7 million from sales taxes, $221.2 million from individual income tax collections, and $93.4 million from the corporate income tax.

The state's production tax on minerals and timber contributed a gross total of $85.6 million. The crude oil severance tax generated $69.7 million, with $15.9 million from the natural gas tax.

May revenues of $695 million included $302.9 million from the individual income tax, $16.5 million from corporate taxes, $210 million from the sales tax, and $88.6 million from severance taxes.
