Milwaukee Airport Deals

The Milwaukee County Board has approved an increase in the $3 passenger facility charge at Mitchell International Airport to $4.50.

The airport, owned and managed by the county, will use the additional revenue collected from the fee to cover airport improvement projects.

Most other airports in Wisconsin already collect the higher rate, approved by Congress more than a decade ago.

The airport collected about $13 million last year at the $3 rate and expects revenues will rise to $17 million at the higher rate.
