Treasury Four-Week Bills Go at 0.015% High Yield

The Treasury Department Wednesday auctioned $30 billion of four-week bills at a 0.015% high yield and a price of 99.998833. The coupon equivalent was 0.015%. The bid-to-cover ratio was 4.66. Tenders at the high rate were allotted 37.43%.

The median yield was 0.010%. The low yield was zero. Tenders totaled $139,855,069,300 and the Treasury accepted $30,000,538,800, including $218,291,300 of noncompetitive. The bills have an issue date of Jan. 19 and are due Feb. 16. The Federal Reserve banks bought $3,781,546,000 for their own account in exchange for maturing securities.
