NEW YORK – Retail sales grew 2.4% in the week ended June 16 after a 2.0% rise the week before, according to the weekly retail sales report released by Johnson Redbook Tuesday.
Month-to-date, June was up 2.5% from June 2011 (a 2.9% rise expected) and 0.5% better than May (0.9% increase expected).
The board approved that step at its second quarter board meeting held this week.
