Revenues Jump Nearly $2B

Texas sales tax revenues totaled $1.98 billion in December, an increase of 9.5% from December 2010 and the 21st consecutive month of collection increases.

Comptroller Susan Combs will distribute $495 million to cities, counties, transit systems, and improvement district.

Cities will receive a total of $328 million from last month’s sales-tax collection, transit districts will share $110.2 million, $33 million will be returned to counties, and $24 million will go to special taxing districts.
