Stone & Youngberg Hires Doug Heske

SAN FRANCISCO — Stone & Youngberg said it hired Doug Heske as managing director and branch manager of its San Francisco private-client group.

Heske makes the shift from chief executive officer of Nollenberger Capital Partners Inc. in San Francisco. The firm was sold to Sterne Agee earlier this year.

Before Nollenberger, Heske worked as California regional director at Piper Jaffray & Co. and branch manager of its San Francisco office.

During his 13 years at Piper, he launched the firm’s wealth management business in San Francisco.

Heske also serves on the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association’s western district executive committee and on the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority’s regional committee.

The new hire comes after Stone & Youngberg announced several promotions last month, including moving Bryan Lundberg to managing director in its public finance group.

The San Francisco-based broker-dealer last month also said it had appointed Parker Colvin, head of municipal underwriting, to its board of directors.
