L.V. Mayor Race Faces Run-Off

Bets on the Las Vegas mayoral race will have to wait until June to be decided.

The two top finishers, Carolyn Goodman, wife of current Mayor Oscar Goodman, and Clark County Commissioner Chris Giunchigliani will face a run-off election in June after Tuesday’s election.

Goodman finished with 37% of the vote and Giunchigliani ended the election with 17%, sending the two women to the June runoff.

Ciunchigliani beat fellow county commissioner Larry Brown by just 15 votes to make the runoff. Term limits require Oscar Goodman to leave office after 12 years.

The race attracted 18 competitors.
