Etienne Leaves State Fund

Raudline Etienne resigned as chief investment officer of the New York State Common Retirement Fund, a position she has held since March 2008.

She will become senior director at Albright Stonebridge Group, a global firm led by former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, former National Security Advisor Samuel Berger, and former Sen. Warren Rudman.

Marjorie Tsang, who had been assistant comptroller for real estate investments, was named interim CIO of the fund.

“The fund has done well in a very difficult economic climate under her watch,” New York Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli said of Etienne, who resigned on Sept. 8.

Tsang, a Yale University graduate, holds a degree from Columbia Law School. Before joining the comptroller’s office in 1993, she worked as a real estate finance attorney at Chadbourne & Parke LLP as well as Sage Gray Todd & Sims.
