Allina Hospitals Get Boost

Standard & Poor’s this week upgraded Allina Hospitals & Clinics rating one notch to AA-minus due to its strong operations.

The action affects the hospital’s debt sold on its behalf by Minneapolis and the St. Paul Housing and Redevelopment Authority in 1993, 1998, 2007 and 2009.

The rating agency assigned a stable outlook to the credit.

“The rating action reflects our view of Allina’s continued strong operations, stable market position, and good management team,” said credit analyst Brian Williamson.

The stable outlook reflects analysts’ expectation that Allina’s operations will remain solid in fiscal 2011 based on the performance of the past two years.
