Blue Ribbon Revenue Panel

Kansas City Mayor Sly James last week announced the creation of a blue-ribbon Commission on Municipal Revenue.

The 16-member panel is charged with examining how the city sustains itself financially and whether or not revenue changes are needed.

The commission will report back to James in six months.

The panel’s member were chosen from the city’s law firms, business community, nonprofits and education.
