S.F. Transport's New Boss

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency has hired a new head. Edward Reiskin will lead the agency after serving in the top spot at the city’s Department of Public Works.

Reiskin will replace former director of transportation Nathaniel Ford and will start by Aug. 15.

Before his stint in public works, Reiskin oversaw the city’s customer service call center. Before coming to San Francisco, he worked as the interim city administrator and deputy mayor of the District of Columbia. He also previously was assistant to the city manager in Oakland.

Reiskin holds a master of public administration degree from Harvard University and an MBA from New York University, as well as a bachelor of science degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
