Emilie Ninan, a public finance partner at Ballard Spahr LLP and the future president of the North American South Asian Bar Association, has become managing partner of the firm’s Wilmington, Del., office.
Ninan succeeded Tobey Daluz, who was named professional personnel partner for the 475-attorney law firm. Daluz now oversees the recruiting and professional development of associates and of counsel for Ballard’s 13 offices nationwide.
Ninan, responsible for the firm’s public finance practice in Delaware, serves as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel or other counsel on a range of general obligation, revenue and conduit bond financings.
She will become president of the legal association in 2012.
