MassPort Has Interim Boss

The Massachusetts Port Authority has named chief legal counsel David Mackey as interim chief executive officer and executive director while it conducts a national search to replace Thomas Kinton, who retired June 1.

Mackey, 54, came to MassPort in 2001, after spending seven years at the U.S. attorney’s office for the Massachusetts district. Meanwhile, the agency has retained Boyden Global Executive Search to help identify CEO candidates.

MassPort owns and operates Logan International Airport, public cargo and cruise terminals in the Port of Boston, Hanscom Field in Bedford and Worcester Regional Airport.
