Recently retired Chicago Mayor Richard Daley has accepted an appointment at the University of Chicago to help foster policy discussions at the Harris School of Public Policy.
Daley has taken a five-year post as a distinguished senior fellow at the school, where he will organize 10 annual guest lectures focused on the future of cities.
“I hope to prepare the next generation of policy makers and other future leaders,” said Daley, who left office last month after deciding against seeking a record seventh term.
