Treasury Two-Year Notes Go at 0.740% High Yield

The Treasury Department today auctioned $35 billion of two-year notes with a 5/8% coupon at a 0.740% yield, a price of 99.772112.

Tenders at the high yield were allotted 68.25%.

The median yield was 0.720%. The low yield was 0.650%.

Tenders totaled $129,597,605,000 and the Treasury accepted $34,727,660,000, including $272,505,500 non-competitive.

The Federal Reserve banks also bought $1,754,353,400 for their own account in exchange for maturing securities.

The two-year notes are dated Dec. 31 and due Dec. 31 2012.
