NAHB Housing Index Holds at 16 in December

Builder confidence in the market for new single-family homes was unchanged in December at a level of 16, according to data released Wednesday by the National Association of Home Builders.

A Thomson Reuters' poll of economists predicted a level of 16 for the housing market index.

"Builders and consumers have yet to see consistent signs that the economy is improving," said NAHB chief economist David Crowe.
