Police Bonds Get Nod

The Columbus City Council last week approved $36 million of bonds to finance the renovation and expansion of a new police headquarters.

Officials began planning the renovation in 2008. The building is adjacent to City Hall and has been vacant for years.

Proceeds would finance other capital projects, but the bulk would be used for the police building.
