KnowledgeFunding Ohio was founded in 2005 and is Ohio’s designated nonprofit secondary market for student loans, according to the site.
The group issues tax-exempt debt using private-activity volume cap allocations from the Department of Economic Development to finance the purchase of student loans.
The bonds are payable solely from the student loans and other assets pledged under the trust indenture.
