July Sees Revenue Hiccup

The Iowa Legislative Services Agency reported that general fund revenue collected in July dipped by $2.3 million compared to last year.

Revenue for the month fell by about 1%. However, the state remains on track with budgeted projections.

The numbers are expected to pick up in August after a legislative change in how gambling revenue is reported delayed the accounting of $11 million in gaming revenue.
