The Treasury will auction $30 billion of 91-day bills and $30 billion of 182-day discount bills. The 91-day bills are dated Aug. 5 and due Nov. 4, and the 182-day bills are dated Aug. 5 and due Feb. 3, 2011.

Personal income and consumption figures for June are released by the Commerce Department.
Factory orders for June are released by the Commerce Department.
Pending home sales figures for June are released by the National Association of Realtors.

Thursday, August 5
Initial jobless claims for the week ending July 31 are released by the Labor Department.

Friday, August 6
The employment report for July is released by the Labor Department.
Consumer credit figures for June are released by the Federal Reserve Board.
