B of A Merrill Adds Transportation Vet

ALAMEDA, Calif. — Murphy ­McCalley has joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch as a director in its transportation group, the firm announced Friday.

McCalley will be based in San Francisco, and he will serve transit and transportation issuers nationwide. McCalley has 23 years of experience in the public transportation and investment banking industries.

He is the founder of McCalley Consulting, and formerly served as a vice president in the municipal securities group at UBS Securities. His experience also includes serving in financial positions with several California transit agencies.

McCalley reports jointly to Carol Rein and James Calpin, Bank of America’s co-heads of transportation, and fellow veterans of UBS, which shuttered its municipal group in 2008.
