The Treasury Department yesterday announced its auction schedule for the coming week.
It will auction $13 billion of 29-year, 10-month notes on Jan. 14, $21 billion of nine-year, 10-month notes on Jan. 13, $10 billion of 10-year inflation-protected notes on Jan. 11, $40 billion of three-year notes on Jan. 12, $26 billion of one-year bills on Jan. 12, and $24 billion of 91-day bills and $25 billion of 182-day discount bills on Jan. 11.
Despite higher yields, muni to UST ratios remain rich. Ratios look "progressively richer" moving into the five- to 10-year part on the curve, with the 10-year spot "still far more attractive in taxables versus tax-exempts," J.P. Morgan said.
