Jenks Sets Bond Vote

The Tulsa suburb of Jenks will hold a Feb. 9 election on a $6.7 million bond issue that would provide the required local match to three street projects.

Mayor Vic Vreeland said the city must contribute 25% of the cost of the street effort. A property tax to support the bonds will raise the tax on a residence valued at $100,000 about $34 per year.
