Stanford Taps New Treasurer

Stanford University has promoted Odile Disch-Bhadkamkar to the new position of treasurer. Her previous post was senior director of finance and bondholder relations.

In her new position, she is responsible for management of the university’s operating liquidity, cash management, debt issuance and management, bondholder relations, credit card merchant services, and retirement program investment oversight. She reports to Randy Livingston, chief financial officer and vice president for business affairs.

Disch-Bhadkamkar has worked at Stanford since 1992 and joined the office of the CFO in 2000.

The university had more than $1.5 billion in tax-exempt debt outstanding as of August 2008, according to its most recent official statement, plus more than $1 billion in tax-exempt debt issued for its hospitals.
