Monday October 19
The Treasury will auction $30 billion of 91-day bills and $30 billion of 182-day discount bills. The 91-day bills are dated Oct. 22 and due Jan. 21, 2010, and the 182-day bills are dated Oct. 22, and due April 22, 2010. Currently, there are $31 billion of 91-day bills outstanding and no 182-day bills.

Tuesday, October 20
Producer price figures for September are released by the Labor Department.
Housing starts and building permit figures for September are released by the Commerce Department.
The Treasury will auction $27 billion of one-year bills. The 52-week bills are dated Oct. 22 and due Oct. 21, 2010.

Wednesday, October 21
The Beige Book, a summary of economic commentary compiled from the 12 Fed banks, is released by the Federal Reserve Board.

Thursday, October 22
Initial jobless claims for the week ending Oct. 17 are released by the Labor Department.
Leading economic indicator figures for September are released by the Conference Board.
The Treasury will announce the auction of $7 billion of five-year TIPS, $49 billion of two-year notes, $41 billion of five-year notes, and $30 billion of seven-year notes.

Friday, October 23
Existing home sales figures for September are released by the National Association of Realtors.
