Debt Manager Tapped for New Authority

Oregon Treasurer Ben Westlund this week appointed Laura Lockwood-McCall, manager of the state treasury’s debt management division, to serve on the board of directors for the newly formed Oregon Infrastructure Finance Authority.

The state Legislature this year split the Oregon Economic and Community Development Commission into two departments, the IFA and the Oregon Business Development Department. The latter will focus on helping private industry and will serve as a conduit for private-activity bonds, while the IFA will focus on public infrastructure.
