McKenna Long Brings in Pollak As P3 Consultant in N.Y. Office

The law firm McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP has hired David Pollak as a consultant on public-private partnerships.

Pollak, a former managing director at UBS, will work as a senior strategic adviser and independent consultant in the firm's New York office.

He will be involved in advising clients on corporate finance and public-private partnerships, the firm said.

MLA touted Pollak's experience both in investment banking and politics, saying it bolsters the firm's goal for expansion in key markets and certain growth areas.

Pollak most recently was New York State director of Obama for America, and before that was co-chair of the Democratic Party of New York.

He has also been a banker at PaineWebber and a vice president at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.

"David's background in the financial sector coupled with his understanding of government will be a unique complement to our New York office," Jeff Haidet, chairman of MLA, said in a statement. "He brings a sophisticated skill set that will provide our clients with practical and strategic counsel."

MLA has 475 attorneys and policy advisers.
