Waterfront Appointments

Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter last week appointed Donn Scott to be chairman of the Delaware River Waterfront Corp. and announced that acting president Joseph Brooks will be leaving the agency on Aug. 31.

Scott, who spent 39 years covering government banking in Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland for Wachovia, will replace Andrew Altman, who left to take a position at the U.K.’s Olympic Park Legacy Co.

Nutter tapped Jay Goldstein, founder of Valley Green Bank, to be vice chairman of the DRWC, a nonprofit corporation formerly known as Penn’s Landing Corp. that is tasked with improving and managing the central Delaware River waterfront in Philadelphia.

“Donn shares my vision of DRWC serving as a catalyst for high-quality public and private investment, and understands the need to bring this waterfront vision to fruition,” Nutter said in a statement.
