The Treasury Department yesterday auctioned $27 billion of 364-day bills at a 0.545% yield, a price of 99.448944.
The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.94. Tenders at the high yield were allotted 60.39%.
The median yield was 0.500%. The low yield was 0.400%.
Tenders totaled $79,209,000,000 and the Treasury accepted $26,848,290,000, including $151,787,700 of noncompetitive.
The 364-day bills are dated July 2 and due July 1, 2010.
"Each party in this deal benefits in some way," said Seema Mohanty, founder of Mohanty Gargiulo.
